Between Dua Lipa, BLACKPINK and Victoria Monet, tons of amazing artists are releasing new music this month. Here’s a list of *some* of the new music you should be looking out for in the coming weeks!

Dua Lipa’s remix album (August 21)
Dua Lipa made heads turn with her spring 2020 album Future Nostalgia and she recently announced that a follow-up is coming this month. The album will include remixes of all of the tracks off the album with new features including Gwen Stefani, Missy Elliott and Madonna. The singer hinted at more surprises and exciting features to be announced and we can’t wait to hear our favourites from Future Nostalgia redone.
Victoria Monet’s new “project” JAGUAR (August 7)
How haven’t you heard of Victoria Monet yet? The R&B artist started her career as a songwriter for most notably Ariana Grande, as she was a part of creating her two chart-topping singles “thank u, next” and “7 rings.” She recently released JAGUAR, a flawless 9-track R&B “project” (this is only one out of three parts of the whole album). Check out our full review next week.
BLACKPINK’s new single with a mystery feature... (August 28)
K-Pop has been on a steady rise in popularity over the past couple of years in America, partially thanks to the girl group BLACKPINK. Following the release of their comeback single “How You Like That” earlier this year, the group recently announced that their next single would be released later this month and that it would feature a mystery artist. Many fans have speculated that it’s Ariana Grande or Selena Gomez, but only time will tell. BLACKPINK in your area!
BTS’ new single "Dynamite" (August 21)
Speaking of K-Pop, boy band BTS has also announced that their new single “Dynamite” will be released on August 21. The group has been incredibly successful over the past few years, continuing to break several streaming records on YouTube and Spotify and their fanbase has been evergrowing. Fans have been patiently waiting for new music and their wish has finally been granted!
Katy Perry’s new album Smile (August 28)
Concluding this list is none other than pop superstar Katy Perry. After a two-week pushback due to “production issues,” it has been confirmed that the singer’s new album Smile will be released on August 28. The album features the singles “Never Really Over,” “Daisies,” and the newly released title track that has been on repeat for us ever since its release. You can also catch Perry’s new livestream series “Smile Sundays” on her website, where she dishes on the album, answers fan questions and even plays some snippets of unreleased songs. We can’t wait to grin from ear to ear while listening to Smile on August 28!
In conclusion, August 2020 has a lot of new music to offer and *hopefully,* it will make up for the mess of a year that this has been.
